The small village of Aragnouet in the Hautes-Pyrénées department is known for its winter sports resort. In the heart of the Pyrenees massif close to the Spanish border, it is surrounded by sought-after national parks. The municipality of Aragnouet was originally an agricultural and rural village now turned towards tourism and labeled a Pays d'Art et d'Histoire (Country of Art and History).
