The Orient Forest Regional Nature Park is a site of major ornithological interest. Its configuration open to the plain, its location in the heart of a migratory corridor, and its proximity to the forest make Orient Lake particularly attractive to birds. More than 250 species have visited the ponds and reservoir dams of the area since their impoundment. Orient Lake extends in humid Champagne, in the heart of the Orient Forest in the Aube department.
