The Saint-Louis room of the Hospices de Beaune in the Côte-d'Or department exhibits thirty couvertes or ceremonial tapestry blankets. Mentioned in the inventory of the hospices of 1501, these blankets covered the beds of the sick during solemn feasts. They are decorated with turtledoves symbolizing conjugal love and bear the intertwined initials of Guigone de Salins and Nicolas Rolin, the founding couple of the Hospices de Beaune. Visitors can also read the gallant motto of the chancellor of the Dukes of Burgundy, Seulle, which means that Guigone was the only lady of her husband's thoughts and his only star.
