The 103 miles (166.5 km) long Verdon mostly runs through the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. It also serves as a border with the Var department in several sections, and even makes a brief incursion into Var, before flowing into the Durance in the Bouches-du-Rhône department near the small town of Vinon-sur-Verdon, itself located in Var.
