The Explorers
In the Calvados department, the calm Orne river allows long canoe kayak rides for all ages. Near the hamlet of La Lande in Clécy, a railway viaduct crosses it to connect Caen to Flers. Built in 1866, it is 354 ft (108 m) long and stands on nine high arches. Now disused, it might be rehabilitated into a small tourist line.
