A rich collection of horse-drawn carriages

0
The Haras National du Pin has a collection of horse-drawn carriages listed as Historical Monuments for the most part. They remind visitors that Paris was the main town for bodywork in the 19th century and that it supplied horse-drawn carriages to the courts of various European countries. While some of them are now on display, others are still used for demonstrations and parades of traditional carriages. The horse-drawn carriages of the national stud farms are painted in the colors of the stud farms (navy blue and red) and bear their logo (capital H inside a wreath) on their doors. Cars of other colors are gifts or loans.
