Saint Germain Church in Alairac is built in the center of the village, surrounded by the Rond Saint-Germain circular boulevard. The layout of these buildings makes Alairac one of the 90 circulades of Languedoc-Roussillon. The church built in the 13th and 14th centuries has been listed as a Historical Monument since April 14, 1948. The octagonal tower that flanks the north corner of the church was originally a watchtower transformed into a bell tower following the era of the Cathar heresy. This change was made in order to establish the preeminence of the Catholic faith in the village.
