Traditionally a land of horses, the Normandy region is renowned nationally and worldwide for its equine culture. It also constitutes a privileged equestrian destination, especially since it hosted the Equirando - the largest European equestrian gathering - in 2012 and the World Equestrian Games in 2014. These two events made it possible to further develop the region's equestrian offer and increase its visibility. The development of equestrian tourism (destination Normandy on horseback), as here at the Haras des Étincelles that has guest rooms open all year round, is considered an important potential for regional tourism development.
