A region characterized by its landscapes
Norman Switzerland is a natural region of Normandy with rather vague contours. It extends between Argentan, Falaise, Flers, Condé-sur-Noireau, and Caen straddling the Calvados and Orne departments around the valleys of the Orne and its tributaries. Its limits are characterized by opposition to the landscapes surrounding it - whether it is the plain of Caen, the Pré-Bocage, or the Virois and Ornais Bocages – from which its reliefs made of hard rocks distinguish it.
