The Normande cow is the third dairy breed in France. Its milk, rich in calcium and protein, is particularly appreciated by cheese producers. It adapts everywhere and is found in Europe and even South America (Colombia). The breed is very fertile, calves with ease, and is known for its docility. It measures 4.72 ft (1.44 m) at the withers and weighs between 1,543 and 2,425 lbs (700 and 1,100 kg). It has made the reputation of Normandy dairy products and the Naturellement Normande farm.
