A pedestrian and archaeological walk

0
The Rue des Boutiques (Shops' Street) is a highlight of the archaeological site of La Villasse in Vaison-la-Romaine. It sinks from north to south under the current city that covers the forum partially excavated from 2013 to 2015. This road was bordered to the west by a formerly roofed pedestrian street, as evidenced by the imposing colonnade still visible today. While walking on this pedestrian street, visitors can notice the holes intended to raise, slide and wedge the blocks of stone which constitute it.
