The plains of Troyes form a land of nature and history. Over seven millennia ago, farmers from central Europe settled in the valleys of the Seine and its tributaries. Over the centuries, they redesigned the landscapes of damp Champagne and covered the hillsides and valleys with rows of vines that still exist today. An INRAP (Nationale Institute for Preventive Archaeological Research) team unearthed a Gallic necropolis from the 4th and 3rd centuries BC on the site of the Aube Logistics Park in Buchères.
