In 2018, the locality of Sainte-Agnès had 1,341 residents, a figure that has been rising steadily since its lowest number of 278 inhabitants in 1954. This enthusiasm is explained by the development of tourism in the village and by the settlement into the region's hinterland of a whole part of the urban population of the saturated Riviera coastline. Ranging between 300 and 600 souls for several centuries, the population of Sainte-Agnès has continuously exceeded 1,000 inhabitants since the very end of the 20th century (1,094 in 1999).
