A plant present in numerous products
Based in Saint-Pierre-le-Viger in the Seine-Maritime department, Terre de Lin transforms its production of straw into scutched linen and tow. The cooperative carries out a second transformation of combed linen fibers. Flax is not used only in the textile industry and also serves in stationery, insulation, and the automotive and composite industries. Flax seeds are used in cooking for preparing bread, cakes, or cookies. In Normandy, many local and artisanal products are made from linen, considered the region's green gold.
