Often wrongly attached to the municipality of Saint-Tropez by the press and in the popular mind, the famous Pampelonne beach is part of the territory of the neighboring locality of Ramatuelle, in the Var department. It bears the name of a town implanted on the eastern side of the Saint-Tropez peninsula between the Pointe de la Bonne Terrasse and the Cap du Pinet (background).
