The Plage du Rouet (Rouet beach) in La Palme bears the name of the saline pumping station that transports seawater to the saltworks. Present 280 days a year, the sun often shines on the beach that stretches over 1.55 miles (2.5 km) between those of Port La Nouvelle and La Franqui. Supervised from mid-June to mid-September, the Plage du Rouet is suitable for families as children can touch the bottom over a long distance along the water's edge.
