The Fort de Brégançon is connected to a small private artificial beach reserved for the President of the French Republic on vacation and his relatives. Located below the 98 ft (30 m) high islet on which the fort stands, it is accessible through a steep descent. The beach is protected from sight by craggy rocks, and its swimming area is delimited with safety buoys. Tourists and paparazzi can nevertheless approach it and affect the privacy of the residents.
