Pack dogs live together according to a well-defined code. There can only be one dominant. Young individuals sometimes commit respect blunders and can be cruelly put in their place. The older dogs then act as a buffer between them and teach the younger ones good behavior. Pierre Daniel is a musher very attentive to his dogs, huskies or crossings. In the summer, he also practices cani-randos (dog trekking) that socialize them with men.
