A nature that has remained wild

Granville is a former cod fishing port and long remained the leading shellfish port in France. It extends at the entrance to the Baie du Mont-Saint-Michel and experiences the same high tides. The archipelago of the Chausey Islands is only 10 miles (17 km) away, and the Channel Island of Jersey is 1 hour by boat. The seascapes are untamed, like the Pointe du Hoc, where a customs trail overlooks the Channel with a drop of 164 ft (50 m). The area is home to wild and rich biodiversity.
