A varied weather from North to South

0
The regions of Chablis, Grand Auxerrois and Châtillonnais enjoy a semi-continental climate, with long winters and hot summers. They are prone to spring frosts. From Côte de Nuits to Côtes du Couchois, the vines benefit from a high sun exposure during the summer and autumn. Further South, Mâconnais receives a Mediterranean influenced weather with lower rainfall; the grapes ripen faster than in the terroirs to the North and harvest can sometime begin a full week before other Côtes.
