A House of the Illustrious

The childhood home of Christian Dior in Granville was labeled Maisons des Illustres (House of the Illustrious) in 2012. This label aims to highlight places where renowned or historical people have lived. The Les Rhumbs villa is the second to receive this label in Lower Normandy, after that of Érik Satie in Honfleur. Normandy is also home to the houses of Claude Monet, Jean-François Millet, Abbé Pierre, and Gustave Flaubert.
