A large fodder barn

0
With the arrival of summer, the forty cows of La Grange de la Haute Vallée farm, in the Cantal department, take up their quarters on the 50 hectares of meadows of the family farm. The Montbeliarde dairy cows return to the barn only for milking and take advantage of the region’s lush grass. The huge barn, with its upside-down boat-shaped roof, houses the farm’s stock of hay, which is used to feed the herd in winter. The farmhouse is a large block adjoining the cowshed and dairy, in the tradition of Cantal farms. It has received the “High Environmental Value” certification.
