A wine identity recognized since 2008

In 2001, the winegrowers of La Londe-les-Maures decided to come together in association to promote the identity of their terroir, its climate, and its know-how that they share with the neighboring municipalities of Hyères, Bormes-les-Mimosas, and La Crau. Their goal was to give more meaning and merit to the wines of their sector by registering their origin among the wines of Provence. They distinguish themselves with a particular grain linked to the imprint of a schist terroir bathed by the Mediterranean. The approach of the winegrowers culminated in May 2008 with the recognition by the National Institute of Designations of Origin of the AOC/PDO terroir designation Côtes-de-Provence La Londe.
