The herds of Przewalski horses (Equus ferus przewalskii) of the Monts d'Azur Biological Reserve have developed leadership and imitation behaviors easily observed by visitors. In some situations, several horses simultaneously imitate the initiative of one or more individuals, for example moving, stopping, or eating. Such mimicry leads the whole group to adopt the same behavior at the same time.
