The Regional Natural Park of the Cotentin and Bessin Marshes is of great ecological importance due to its wetland. This area covered by floods every winter seems to turn white and creates a striking landscape. This natural space is home to many animal and plant species, some of which are even recognized nationally and internationally. The Cotentin and Bessin marshes being located on the northern Europe - Africa migratory axis, they constitute an essential stopover for thousands of species of birds.
