In the village of Châteauneuf-en-Auxois, stands a fortress with five towers. Entrance to the castle is through a funnel leading to the drawbridge. The 13th-century building remains in perfect condition, thanks to the care of the region. The management, administration, and promotion of the castle are handled by the Burgundy region. The castle of Châteauneuf-en-Auxois has been listed as a historical monument since 1894.
