A shape adapted to Marseille's coastline
0

Wide in the middle and thin at the ends, the shapes of the hull of the barquette marseillaise at the waterline are adapted to a sailing boat as well as rows. As for its rounded beam, it testifies to its particular adaptation to the short and brittle sea typical of Marseille's coastline and, in particular, the Jardin (garden), the very fishy area located between Pointe-Rouge and the Catalans.
