The Fontaines Parfumées perfume company was born on a farm located on the outskirts of the old town of Grasse and which included two farm buildings, a mill, and a mansion dating from 1640. It began its activity in 1840 with the creation of a factory for olive oil and raw materials for perfumery, the soap industry, and drugstores.
