The Villa du Temps Retrouvé in Cabourg is a house museum where everything has been done to recreate the era of the early 20th century and its atmosphere. Visitors can sit in armchairs from the Mobilier National (National Furniture), play the piano in the music room, and go through the works of André Gide, Anatole France, or Pierre Louÿs in the library on the first floor. They can also soak up a fragrance designed by Francis Kurkdjian and the Création Parfum company from essences widespread at the Belle Epoque. The synaesthetic experience created at the Villa du Temps Retrouvé is constantly renewed according to the works on loan and on deposit.
