0
For several centuries, the village of Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges in the Haute-Garonne department has been an important stopover on the way to Santiago de Compostela. Numerous walkers still cross it today and meet hikers and mountain bikers who travel a region known as the Pyrenean Piedmont. The Via Garona is a long-distance hiking trail that allows one to hike from Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges to Toulouse over 105.63 miles (170 km) and seven stages.
