A threatened and protected species

The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) has placed the Eurasian lynx on its red list of animals in danger of extinction. Its increasing status has recently returned to decreasing despite a backup plan established by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). The protection of the species remains deeply linked to that of its habitat. Such parameters explain why it is important to create ecological corridors to avoid road collisions, which are responsible for most deaths.
