The town of Port-Vendres has the only deep-water port in the Pyrénées-Orientales department. One of the last stops before the Spanish coast, the port is a sought-after stopover for pleasure boats that practice offshore navigation. Its marina has 280 mooring rings partly occupied all year round by subscribers or passing boats. Boaters passing through Port-Vendres can have their nautical needs met thanks to the presence of nautical professionals and a fairing area. Together with the organized ballet of commercial boats maneuvering, the arrival of fishing boats creates a daily choreography in Port Vendres' port.
