The three aims - scientific, pedagogical, and human - of the Guédelon project were defined during the inauguration speech of the site given by Michel Guyot, its founder, in May 1998. They remain the line of communication and the bottom line of the construction site. The project also encompasses economic, touristic, and ecological dimensions that make the SAS Guédelon an innovative cultural enterprise of the 21st century, with a turnover of 4.3 million Euros per year.
