An elegance linked to proportions

Dedicated to the Virgin Mary and John the Baptist, Jean de Bourbon Chapel was built in Flamboyant Gothic style on the Cluny site on the location of the former Saint-Eutrope Chapel around 1460. Its interior elegance is linked to its proportions: the height of the vault is almost equivalent to the length of the chapel (about 33 ft / 10 m) for a width of 13 ft (4 m). The high windows on the three sides of the apse and on one of the lengths of the building flood the lapis quadratum of the walls with light and highlight the various decorative elements (consoles, keys, crests, abbot's leveled coat of arms, etc.).
