A church reimplanted with the village

The parish church of Sainte-Agnès, in the Alpes-Maritimes department, was consecrated by the Bishop of Albenga in 1271. It was then a small baroque-style single-nave building located on the heights of the Sainte-Agnès mountain, near the castle. It was rebuilt in 1575 in the heart of the village newly reimplanted below the castle abandoned by the inhabitants during the 14th century.
