The Saint-Pierre parish church of Castellar in the Alpes-Maritimes department consists of a single nave flanked by side chapels and extended by a large apse choir. An altar of the Virgin displays a painted stucco statue framed by fifteen medallions on canvas from the mid-19th century. They represent the fifteen joyful, sorrowful, glorious, and luminous mysteries of the Rosary. The monument is placed under the patronage of Saint Peter, considered the Prince or first of the apostles.
