One of the highest waterfalls in the French West Indies

With a vertical drop of 426 ft (130 m), the Couleuvre waterfall is one of the highest waterfalls in Martinique and even in the French West Indies. It is located on the territory of the commune of Grand-Rivière in the north of the island. Its fresh water, which flows across the volcanic massif of Mount Pelée, springs from the Couleuvre river, upstream from the eponymous cove. The waterfall is accessible by the Le Prêcheur-Grand'Rivière hiking trail after an hour and fifteen minutes walk from the Anse Couleuvre car park.
