In the racing area of the Cité de l'Automobile, sets, sound effects, images, and even smells recreate the starting line of a Grand Prix circuit. The collection presents emblematic sports models such as a Panhard-Levassor two-seater racer from 1908, a Mercedes W125 from 1937, a Maserati 250F from 1957, or a Lotus Type 33 from 1963. The Bugatti Type 32 from 1923, with its revolutionary aerodynamics and original engine, is the only survivor of the Tours circuit. Lined up on both sides of the center aisle, these legendary cars constitute a prestigious starting line.
