A cave located at the top of Sainte-Croix hill, near the eponymous chapel, housed an old cistern of the feudal castle destroyed in the 16th century. It is used today for the reconstitution of the love court of Pierrefeu-du-Var held around the year 1200 by Rostangue, Lady of Pierrefeu, in the castle of the village. In the Middle Ages, courts or tribunals of love, where the only code in force was that of courtly love, welcomed, among poets and troubadours, the knights who had love situations to be judged on legal or personal points.
