Roussillon is a rural municipality of the Vaucluse department. Its territory extends over 11.5 square miles (29.77 km²) between 521 and 1,200 ft (159 and 366 m) above sea level in the heart of the northern valley of the Luberon. Roussillon is located between the Petit Luberon and the Monts de Vaucluse and bordered by the neighboring municipalities of Saint-Saturnin-lès-Apt to the north, Gargas to the east, Bonnieux to the south, and Goult, Gordes, and Joucas from southwest to northwest.
