The municipality of Trouville-sur-Mer extends in the east of the Calvados department in the Pays d'Auge. It is implanted on the right bank at the mouth of the Touques, opposite Deauville, located on the left bank. Bordered by the Baie de Seine, Trouville is also a coastal town and a very popular seaside resort with 0.74 miles (1.2 km) of beach and boards. Seaside tourism, fishing, and thalassotherapy are its main economic activities.
