A belt of land lighthouses
0
0
In the late 1840s, small terrestrial lighthouses were built to secure navigation in the Seine estuary. Among them, that of Saint-Samson-de-la-Roque, designed by the architect Léonce Reynaud, is an integral lighthouse. The ensemble has a lantern on its top and a small house for the keeper and his family. Built in 1849, the lighthouse operated from 1850 to 1910.
