Five species of seabirds represent 99% of the population observed during the avian censuses on the site of the Lac de Serre-Ponçon. The most represented species is the constantly progressing yellow-legged gull (photo). The other very present species are the great cormorant, the black-headed gull, the great crested grebe, and the mallard duck.
