A protected area of nature and heritage

About 3,100 miles (5,000 km) of marked trails cross the vast territory of the Cévennes National Park. This protected area is part of the ten national parks in France and is home to a remarkable diversity of fauna and flora. The Cévennes National Park is a privileged site for the observation of vultures such as the Griffon vulture, reintroduced in the territory since the 1980s, but also for discovering the local human heritage. A multi-millennial history is preserved there through megaliths, medieval castles, and traditional architecture.
