The architect Jean Nouvel, associated with Brigitte Métra, developed with Marshall Day Acoustics and Ducks Scéno the acoustics and scenography of the Pierre Boulez hall of the Philharmonie de Paris. Together, they imagined suspended balconies that allow the audience to be immersed in the music. They succeeded in creating an acoustic of great clarity with a wide reverberation. Noise pollution from the nearby ring road was eliminated by using the “Box in a box” construction system, which created a void around the walls of the hall and the ceiling.
