A pioneer in the reuse of heritage for artistic purposes, Royaumont Abbey has become an important cultural institution for music and dance. Created in 1964, the Royaumont Foundation’s mission is to preserve the abbey founded by St Louis, to make it available to artists and to make it accessible to the public. The Foundation is committed to the long process of creation and accompanies artists from all over the world in their development. The music library, the Cavaillé-Coll organ, and the many gardens make up an ideal place of residence for imagining, experimenting, and transmitting.
