The CCF (Cheetah Conservation Fund), founded in 1990 by Laurie Marker in Namibia, conducts research on cheetah biology, ecology and territorial habits. Radio collars on cheetahs helped to understand their movements and the size of their areas of evolution. To survive in the wild, they must be free to roam vast expanses whereas most protected zones and nature reserves are simply not big enough. The CCF has become a world-renowned organization whose conservation programs are replicated throughout Africa.
