A village crossed by three corniches

The three corniches that pass through Èze (right) connect Nice to Menton, on the Italian border, offering very different points of view on the craggy coastline of the Alpes-Maritimes. The Basse Corniche, the busiest and most touristic, culminates at 328 ft (100 m). The Moyenne Corniche, inaugurated in 1928, constitutes the old Nationale 7 road. It serves the hilltop village of Èze and rises to more than 984 ft (300 m) at its exit, on the Menton side. As for the Grande Corniche, built in 1807, it culminates at 1,640 ft (500 m) shortly after the Col d'Èze.
