A village similar to a Provençal crèche
0
0
The village of Séguret, clinging to its hill against the backdrop of the Dentelles de Montmirail, seems like the archetype of the Provençal village as traditionally represented in the crèche. Every year since 1720, the Ségurétains incidentally organize a living crèche in the Saint-Denis church. On December 24th, just before the Midnight Mass celebrated in Provençal, they represent an evocation of Christmas Eve in Bethlehem in three scenes and orally transmit the Li Bergié (Mystery of the Shepherds) from generation to generation.
