Since 1982, Ménerbes has been one of the 159 Plus Beaux Villages de France (Most beautiful villages in France) duly approved in 14 regions and 70 departments. Such label underlines its architecture and heritage as well as the highlights of its history, particularly in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. In 2020, Ménerbes was ranked third Village préféré des Français (Favorite village of the French), testifying to the national enthusiasm for the art of living in Luberon.
